This website is designed to support students in a variety of PAL courses. Resources include activities and games to do with P-12 students, mental health and wellness sites, curriculum and educational professional organizations, and education-related documentaries and podcasts. The menu also includes a range of San Diego establishments and locations that provide a broader perspective on local communities and neighborhoods.
How it works
Your PAL course instructor will give you guidelines about how to use this menu to enhance your practicum experience. In some PAL classes you will have required projects in which you will use specific menu experiences to inform and enhance your project work. In other instances, this website menu gives you general support and resources to make your work with P-12 students meaningful and engaging.
Focus and Goals
To get the most from this menu think about what you'd like to learn more about during the quarter. What skills and interests do you have and where would you like to concentrate your time and efforts? Find resources that offer you opportunities to dive more deeply into your areas of interest. You might also choose sites and activities that connect with the content/focus of your PAL class and the interests of the students you’re working with.
